UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State softball team will hold walk-on tryouts Thursday, Sept. 15 from 5-6 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 18 from 9-10 a.m. at Nittany Lion Softball Park and Beard Field.
Students interested in trying out for the 2017 Nittany Lion softball team MUST email Elaine Packer (edp1@psu.edu) for important compliance information before attending either tryout date. Also, anyone interested must be a full-time student at the University Park campus to attend tryouts.
Penn State posted a 30-24 overall record in the 2016 season and was the No. 4 seed in the Big Ten Tournament. The 2016 Nittany Lions broke three batting records, while tying its second-highest Big Ten Tournament seeding and selling out Beard Field on three occasions under third year head coach Amanda Lehotak.
