NEW ORLEANS, LA
- Coming off back-to-back wins at the Dolan Duals and Spiked Shoe Invitational, the Penn State women's cross country team remained at the No. 13 spot in this week's rankings, according to the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) week one poll released Tuesday afternoon.

Led by All-American Tessa Barrett, Penn State has rolled its way to two-consecutive wins in their opening meets of the 2016 season. Barrett finished first at both meets, breaking a 16 year old record at the Spiked Shoe Invitational this past weekend. Barrett crossed the finish line in 20:31, well ahead of the previous best of 20:52, set by Michigan's Katie Jazwinski back in 2000.

The Nittany Lions remained No. 1 in the Mid-Atlantic Region as well leading Georgetown, Penn, Princeton and Villanova who round out the top-five.

The Nittany Lions will travel to Minneapolis, MN for the 31st Annual Roy Griak Invite at Les Bolstad Golf Course in Falcon Heights Sept. 24.
