UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Senior linebacker Nyeem Wartman-White (Philadelphia) will miss the remainder of the 2016 season after suffering an injury against Temple Saturday.
The Philadelphia native had a strong return after missing nearly all of the 2015 season with an injury. He had 14 tackles, including 3.5 tackles for loss and a half-sack. Wartman-White also had two pass breakups.
In 2014, Wartman-White ended the season as the team's second-leading tackler behind All-American Mike Hull. His 75 tackles in 2014 more than doubled his previous career high, with his 6.2 stops per game ranking 28th in the conference. He grabbed his first career interception at Indiana in 2014, helping secure the Nittany Lions victory, and added 3.5 tackles for loss.
The Nittany Lions visit No. 4/5 Michigan Saturday at 3:30 p.m. for an ABC national game. The game also airs on the Penn State Sports Network (2 p.m. airtime) and GoPSUsports.com.
