Nittany Lions Earn No. 2 Seed in Big Ten Tournament

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.
- Penn State clinched the No. 2 seed in the 2016 Big Ten Field Hockey Tournament as announced by the conference Saturday afternoon. The event will be hosted by the Maryland in College Park, Md., beginning Thursday, Nov. 3.

Penn State (14-2, 6-2 B1G) wrapped up the regular season Friday night at home against Indiana downing the Hoosiers 3-2 to secure the No. 2 seed in the B1G tournament.

As the No. 2 seed, Penn State will face seventh-seeded Indiana once again with a game time slated for 12:30 p.m. ET on Thursday in the second game of the day.

The first semifinal is slated for 1 p.m. ET on Friday, Nov. 4, while the second semifinal will begin at 4 p.m.

Sunday's championship game will start at Noon. The tournament champion will earn the conference's automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament
