W. Cross Country No. 9 in Latest USTFCCCA Poll

NEW ORLEANS, LA
- The Penn State women's cross country team remained No. 9 in this week's rankings, according to the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) week six poll released Tuesday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions are fresh off a second-place finish at the Big Ten Championships this past Sunday at the Les Bolstad Golf Course in Minneapolis, MN. Penn State's second-place finish featured featured a 3-7-10 finish through the efforts of Tessa Barrett, Jillian Hunsberger and Elizabeth Chikotas respectively.

Penn State remained No. 1 in the Mid-Atlantic Region, leading Villanova, Penn, West Virginia and Georgetown who round out the top-five.

The Penn State women's cross country team is also ranked No. 8 in the Saucony Flo50 Women's Team XC Rankings.

Penn State will return to the course Nov. 11 as they host the 2016 NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional at the Blue & White golf course.
