UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State women's soccer team will play No. 3 seed Virginia in the second round of the NCAA Tournament Friday, Nov. 18, at 11 a.m. The match will take place at Shaw Field in Washington, D.C.
In the first round of the NCAA Tournament, Penn State defeated Bucknell, 6-0, and No. 3 seed Virginia defeated Monmouth, 4-1.
Sunday, the No. 2 seed Georgetown Hoyas topped St. Francis (Pa.), 2-0, to host second and third round matches of the NCAA Tournament. Georgetown will host Rutgers on Friday, Nov. 18, at 1:30 p.m.
The winner of Penn State/No. 3 seed Virginia and Rutgers/No. 2 seed Georgetown will play on Nov. 20 at noon at Shaw Field for a chance to advance to the NCAA Quarterfinal round.
