INDIVIDUAL NOTES

  • Kaliyah Mitchell scored her 700th career point 2:36 into first quarter with a 3-point shot from above the key assisted by Amari Carter.
  • Mitchell reached 100 career assists one minute into the first quarter on a layup scored by Lindsey Spann.
  • To end the first quarter Spann scored her 800th career point with a 3-point shot as the buzzer rang to score the Lady Lions 39th point of the game.
  • Scoring a career-high of 31 points Spann scored over 20 points in the first half alone. It was her second 30-point game; she has the most 30-point games of any player on the current roster.
  • Carter finished the game with a career-high nine assists and is now tied with Teniya Page for most assists in a single game.
  • Assisted by Spann, Page scored her 500th career point on a layup one minute into the fourth quarter.
  • Ashanti Thomas and Mitchell finished the game with eight rebounds each, a career high for Thomas.

TEAM NOTES

  • Penn State Lady Lions earned their 900th program win with a score of 106-50 against the Saint Peter's Peacocks.
  • It was the team's first time playing Saint Peter's, Penn State has played 11 other teams in the Metro Athletic Atlantic Conference and is now 14-0 in the current alignment of the conference.
  • The Lady Lions scored 39 points in the first quarter tying for the most points in a quarter scored by the team. The last time the team netted 39 points in the fourth quarter vs. Michigan on Jan. 17, 2016. The NCAA moved to quarter play for women's basketball to begin the 2015-16 season.
  • Penn State scored 64 points in the first half, marking the first time the Lady Lions have scored over 60 points in a half since playing Saint Francis (PA) in November of 2013.
  • The 106-point game against Saint Peter's is the first time the Lady Lions scored over 100 points in a game since November 8, 2013 during which the team scored 117 points against Saint Francis (PA).
  • Five Lady Lions scored in the double figures. Spann led the way with 31 points, Page followed with 19, Peyton Whitted, Kaliyah Mitchell, and Sierra Moore finished with 12,11 and 10 points respectively. The last instance in which five Lady Lions scored in double figures was Feb. 17, 2016.
  • The Lady Lions won by 56 points, the last time Penn State won by 50-or-more was in December 2012 against the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights.
