Penn State Fencing Team Competes at the Milwaukee North American Cup

Penn State men's and women's fencing team compete in the Milwaukee North American Cup

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; November 14, 2016 - The Penn State men's and women's fencing team finished a weekend long competition at the Milwaukee North American Cup today.

On Friday, Nov. 11 men's foil competed with sophomore Julian Fevry (St. Albans, N.Y.) coming in 37th place and freshman Andrey Ostatnigrosh (Fresno, Calif.) placing 39th.

On Sunday, Nov. 13 men's epee competed with freshman Clinton Rodell (Annadale, VA) placing 35th.

Women's epee competed today with freshman Barbara Vanbenthuysen taking home 5th place. Then men's sabre closed the competition with sophomores Karol Metryka (Linden, N.J.) placing 3rd and Matthew Lewicki (Oakland, N.J.) tying for 11th place. The Nittany Lions will be back in action this weekend Nov. 19-20 for the Garret Penn State Open.
