USCHO.com Poll | USA Today Poll | PairWise Rankings (Updated Nightly)
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Coming off a bye-week the Penn State University men's ice hockey team has set two more program-high's with a No. 7 ranking in the latest USCHO.com poll and a No. 6 ranking in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll.
PSU jumped four spots in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll, the most by any school, after receiving 341 points, 118 more than the previous week. This program-high also marks their fifth consecutive week in the Top-15 which is the longest stretch in program history.
Penn State moved up one spot in the USCHO.com poll after receiving 689 points which is 74 more than last week. PSU remains the highest ranked Big Ten school coming in ahead of Ohio State (No. 10), Minnesota (No. 11) and Michigan (No. 20) while Wisconsin continues to receive votes.
The Nittany Lions are currently riding the nation's longest unbeaten streak of 11 games (10-0-1) and are also on a nine-game winning streak dating back to their 3-2 overtime victory against then No. 3 Notre Dame on October 22nd.
The Nittany Lions open B1G play this week as they welcome No. 20 Michigan to Pegula Ice Arena for a two-game set on December 1-2. Thursday night's contest is slated for 6:30 p.m. and will air across the nation on ESPNU while the finale will be a 7 p.m. puck-drop and will be available on BTN-plus.
