Frantti, Lee Named to All-Tournament Team

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Following a pair of 20-plus kill performances, Penn State junior outside hitters Ali Frantti and Simone Lee were named to the Lincoln regional all-tournament team on Saturday evening.

Lee led the team in kills for the 30th time of the 2016 season against the Cornhuskers, pounding down a match-high 22 kills. She added 12 digs for a double-double, while tacking on two assists and three blocks.

Frantti logged a season-best 21 kills, finishing second on the team while posting a team-best .327 hitting. She tacked on 15 digs and a career-best six blocks in Penn State's five-set effort.

Joining Frantti and Lee on the all-tournament team is Arizona's Penina Snuka, Washington's Crissy Jones, Nebraska's Kelly Hunter, Andie Malloy and the regional's most outstanding player, Kadie Rolfzen.

Penn State ends the 2016 season at 24-10 after defending national champs Nebraska defeated Penn State in five sets to advance to the regional finals on Friday afternoon.
