UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State women's basketball program will close out the non-conference portion of its schedule with a 7 p.m. tipoff vs. Iona on Tuesday, Dec. 20 inside the Bryce Jordan Center. The Lady Lions and Gaels will air live on the Penn State Sports Network and BTN2go.com.

Scouting Iona
- Iona enters the contest with a 6-4 overall record, but are 1-3 on the road so far in 2016-17. The Gaels record includes a 1-1 mark in MAAC conference play, defeating Manhattan at home, 70-53, before falling at Fairfield, 68-59.
- As a team, Iona is averaging 60.1 points per game, while limiting the opposition to just 57.3 points.
- Iona owns a plus-5.3 edge on the glass, coming in averaging 38.2 rebounds per game.
- Sophomore Alexis Lewis leads the team in both scoring and rebounding average, pouring in 18.6 points and grabbing 7.6 rebounds per game in 10 starts.
- Two other Gael players are averaging in double-figures, with Marina Lizarazu and Karynda DuPree are chipping in 13.4 and 10.6 points respectively.
- Dupree is also pulling down 7.3 rebounds per game and has 20 blocked shots (2.0 bpg) in 10 starts..

- Tuesday's meeting will mark the first time that Penn State has matched up against Iona.

- Teniya Page joined Kelly Mazzante as the only two players in in Penn State women's basketball history to register three-or-more 30-point games through their sophomore seasons. Mazzante had 14 30-point games in her first two seasons.
- Page reached double-figures for the sixth-straight game with 30 points vs. American. It is Page's third career 30-point game and her second of the season.
- Page made a career-high 15 free throws in the game, going 15-of-17 on the afternoon. She previously made 10 freebies vs. Michigan on Jan. 17, 2016.
- Page's 15 made free throws rank No. 2 on the Penn State single game charts, tying Brianne O'Rourke (vs. Duke, 12/2/2007) and Jess Stromm (vs. Minnesota, 1/30/2005). The school record is 16 free throws by Maggie Lucas vs. St. Francis (Pa.) on Nov. 8, 2013.
- Ashanti Thomas tied her career-high with nine points in the game.
- Thomas also made a career-high-tying three free throws.
- De'Janae Boykin made her collegiate debut vs. American. Boykin began her collegiate career at Connecticut before transferring to Penn State following the 2015 fall semester.
- Boykin got her first career basket on a layup with 5:09 to play in the first quarter.
- Boykin finished with 10 points and six rebounds -- which tied for game high -- in her collegiate debut.
- Jaida Travascio-Green netted nine points off the bench for Penn State.
- Peyton Whitted pulled down five rebounds to move her career total to 528 and move into No. 30 on the career charts.
