UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State women's basketball program will hit the road for the first time in 24 days as they play Rutgers inside the Rutgers Athletic Center on Saturday, Dec. 31 at Noon. The contest between the Lady Lions and Scarlet Knights will air live on the Big Ten Network and the game also be available on the Penn State Sports Network and on BTN2go.com.

Scouting Rutgers

  • Rutgers enters the contest with a 3-11 overall record and a 0-1 mark in Big Ten play after dropping its conference opener, 63-50, at Michigan on Wednesday, Dec. 28.
  • The Scarlet Knights rank No. 4 in the Big Ten and No. 85 nationally allowing 59.4 points per game. Their 48.8 points scored per game rank No. 339 out of 344 team in Division I.
  • Rutgers is forcing 15.6 turnovers per game, with 8.4 of those coming via steals.
  • Kandiss Barber leads the team in scoring at 9.6 points per game, while Shrita Parker is close behind at 9.1 points per contest.
  • Shadaizha Sanders leads the team with 58 assists and 31 steals, while chipping in 7.7 points per game.
  • Desiree Keeling is leading the team with 7.1 rebounds per game.

  • Page led the Lady Lions in scoring for the sixth time this season and her 18 points give her 19 games with at least 10 points this season.
  • Page added a team-high four assists, to mark the 12th time this season she has had 10-plus points to go along with at least four assists.
  • Page played all 40 minutes vs. Rutgers, the third straight game she has played every minute.
  • Peyton Whitted tallied nine points and six rebounds vs. Rutgers.
  • Lindsey Spann finished the game with 13 points, her 16th double-digit scoring game of the season and 36th of her career.
  • She led the Lady Lions in rebounding with a career-best and game-high nine boards. It is just the second time in her career she has led the team in rebounding.
