Maloney Earns NSCAA All-Region Honors

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Penn State senior men's soccer player Connor Maloney (Harrisburg, Pa.) was named to the All-Great Lakes Region Second Team as announced by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).

Maloney paced the Nittany Lions for the third-straight season, notching 21 points with a team-high eight goals and five assists. The senior midfielder posted 1489 minutes on the pitch in 17 starts and carried a .417 shots on goal percentage in his final season. Maloney's eight goals and 0.44 goals per game ranked fourth in the Big Ten, while his five assists ranked fifth in conference standings.

The Harrisburg, Pa. native was one of three players on Penn State to record a multi-goal match after scoring twice against No. 22 Akron, earning him Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honors. Furthermore, Maloney was a unanimous First Team All-Big Ten selection, earning the honor for the third time in his career.
