UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State women's gymnastics team has announced its 2017 promotional schedule. The Nittany Lions are slated to host five meets inside Rec Hall during the 2017 season. All five meets are scheduled for Saturdays at 4 p.m.
Season ticket prices for the women's dual meets are $18 for adults and $12 for youth. The season tickets exclude the double dual meets on Jan. 21 and Feb. 11 where adult ticket prices are $6 and youth are just $4.
Single meet tickets are available for all home meets in advance and at the door on the event night at a cost of $8 for adults and $5 for youth. Group tickets (20 or more) can be purchased in advance for a reduced rate of $4 each.
All tickets can be purchased by calling Penn State Athletics at 1-800-NITTANY or by visiting the Athletic Ticket Office inside the Bryce Jordan Center.
The Nittany Lions host their first home meet of the year against Bowling Green, BYU and Temple in a quad meet on Jan. 7. Fans attending the quad meet can pick up a copy of the 2017 team schedule poster. Kids that bring in a coloring page found on Penn State women's gymnastics social media will be able to enter the meet for free. At the meet, kids can receive airbrushed tattoos and following the meet there will be an autograph session with the team.
Following a week on the road, the Nittany Lions return home to Rec Hall to host Maryland in a double dual for their THON meet on Jan. 21.
The Nittany Lions will be back in action at Rec Hall two weeks later, Feb. 4, against Big Ten opponent Michigan State to host their annual Flip for the Cure meet, which benefits the Pink Zone. All fans are encouraged to wear pink.
The meet against Ohio State on Feb. 11 is Veterans, Armed Forces & Public Safety Day. Prior to the meet, the ROTC will be in attendance for the color guard and the national anthem. Veterans, members of the armed forces, and public safety personnel can attend the meet for free with a valid veteran, military, or public safety I.D. Following the meet, the women's gymnastics team will be holding an autograph session.
Along with Veterans, Armed Forces & Public Safety Day, the Nittany Lions will look for fans to White Out Rec Hall against Ohio State. All fans are encouraged to wear white and while supplies last, fans can pick up a white shaker before the meet.
Penn State hosts its final home meet of the year against Pittsburgh on Saturday, Feb. 25. The 2017 home finale is Senior Day for four Nittany Lions.
