Softball Set to Host Open Practice

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State softball team is set to host a practice that is open to the public at Holuba Hall Sunday, Jan. 29 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Fans in attendance will also be able to enjoy pizza with the team following the practice.

Fans are welcome to come to Holuba Hall and watch the 2017 softball team conduct its regularly scheduled practice. The practice is open to anyone to have an exclusive look inside the Nittany Lions practice as well as see the team in action prior to their season-opener in Baton Rouge, La. Fans are encouraged to bring their own chair to Holuba as seating is limited.

Penn State kicks off its 2017 season when it heads to Baton Rouge, La. for the 2017 LSU Tournament, Feb. 10-12. The Nittany Lions will take on McNeese State and LSU twice and play one game against Oklahoma State.

The Blue and White will play 17 home games on 13 dates inside the friendly confines of Beard Field in the 2017 season after going 14-9 in the 2016 campaign and hosting the 2016 Big Ten Softball Tournament.

Fans can purchase 2017 season tickets starting Tuesday, Jan. 10 for $20 by calling 1-800-NITTANY Monday thru Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; they can also be purchased in-person at the Bryce Jordan Center Athletic Ticket Office Monday through Friday 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
