MVB Up to No. 13 in AVCA Rankings

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.
- Penn State starts week nine at No. 13 in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association DI-II (AVCA) poll.

Penn State (12-7, 6-2) makes the biggest move from last week's rankings moving up two spots to No.13. The Nittany Lions are coming off hosting the Penn State Spring Break Tournament in Rec Hall. The Nittany Lions downed the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos 3-1 Friday night before falling 3-0 to MPSF member Stanford Saturday night.

Ohio State remained the number one team in the nation receiving all 24 first-place votes with an unblemished record of 18-0, followed by Long Beach State at No. 2, BYU at No. 3, Hawai'i at No. 4 and Lewis rounding out the top-five.

Penn State will take a week off for spring break before returning to action Friday Mar. 17 at 7 p.m. ET against the Cal-Baptist Lancers who make the 2,537 mile trip from the west coast to University Park, Pa.
