UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Two Penn State men's basketball players have been granted their release from the program, head coach Patrick Chambers announced Thursday. Junior Terrence Samuel and redshirt sophomore Isaiah Washington will graduate from Penn State this summer and have remaining years of eligibility.
"We thank Isaiah and Terrence for their time at Penn State and wish them both well moving forward," Chambers said.
Samuel is slated to earn a degree in sociology after playing one year at Penn State following a transfer from UConn. He saw action in 28 games in 2016-17 with 3.9 points and 1.8 assists per game. He will have one year of eligibility remaining.
Washington, a health policy and administration major, played in 45 games over three seasons for the Nittany Lions, redshirting his freshman year after playing in one game. He averaged 1.9 points and 1.2 rebounds per game and has two remaining years of eligibility.
