2017 Penn State Baseball Promotions Schedule

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. ââ'¬" As the intensity picks up on Medlar Field with Big Ten play, so will the fun and great deals for the Nittany Lion faithful. Penn State baseball games will feature several unique theme and promotional nights throughout the 2017 season.

Deals include "Two for Tuesdays," "Wing Wednesdays" and "Dollar Dog Nights," while theme days will not only include fun for all ages (and for one game, your dog), but will contribute to great causes such as the fight against cancer and honoring servicemembers. Be sure to catch some baseball during Blue-White weekend, as the Diamond Lions will be in town Friday, Saturday and Sunday with events including fireworks, a Penn State White Out, and the annual Salute to Service Day. A pair of high school games will also take place following Penn State contests. Admission for the high school game is free with the purchase of a ticket to the Penn State game. State College and Bellefonte will follow Penn State's game against Ohio State, Saturday, Apr. 9, and Penns Valley and St. Joseph's Catholic Academy will follow the Minnesota game on Saturday, May 6.

All promotions are subject to change. Additional promotions may be announced at a later date. Season, flex and single-game ticket options for the 2017 Penn State baseball season in Medlar Field at Lubrano Park are now on sale at GoPSUsports.com or by calling the Medlar Field at Lubrano Park ticket office at 814-272-1711. Ask about the hospitality suite option for season ticket holders.

THEMES AND EVENTS
Penn State fans can support the fight against cancer during the Ohio State series. Saturday, Apr. 8, will be THON Sluggers Day, and the Nittany Lions will welcome Four Diamonds Children and volunteers to the ballpark while donating a dollar form every student ticket purchased to THON.

The following day, Sunday Apr. 9, will be the Lions' annual Vs. Cancer Day. Fans entering the games will receive a sign that will allow them to personalize the fight and write the name of who they fight for. After the game, fans are welcome to stick around and watch nearly all of the Nittany Lion players and coaches shave their heads on the first base concourse in support of the fight against cancer.

The Sunday game against Ohio State will also be the perfect family outing, as it will be the "Picnic at the Park" game. Families can purchase four tickets and four all you can eat buffet tickets for just $24. The buffet will consist of classic ballpark food and additional tickets can be purchased at just $6. Call 814-272-1711 for more information. It will also be Camper Reunion Day, as all campers from 2016 Penn State Baseball Camp can purchase tickets a discounted rate of just $2.

Students will want to keep their eyes peeled around campus for "lucky" Penn State baseball stickers prior to the Tuesday, Apr. 11, "Luck of the Lions" game against Bucknell. Bring the stickers to the game, and you will be eligible for great prizes, including a brand new HD TV! Students will not want to miss the Tuesday game the following week against Pitt (Apr. 18), as it will be their turn at the buffet line for the third annual "Student Buffet Night." Students can get a game ticket and all you can eat buffet for just $5 ââ'¬" the perfect solution to a low meal point total!

Fans will also want to get to the Pitt game early as the first 500 will receive "Beat Pitt" Thunderstix. It will also be "Terrible Tuesday." Students can tweet their suggestions for the worst walkup songs to be played during the top half of innings to @PennStateBASE, while one fan will be selected to try an inning as the play-by-play radio announcer and another will handle an inning as the PA announcer.

Traditionally one of the biggest weekends of the season, Penn State will host Northwestern for Blue-White Weekend, Apr. 21-23. Friday will start with a blast as it will include a Postgame Fireworks Show. Saturday, the Lions will look to White Out the Wildcats, giving away white shakers while supplies last and encouraging fans to wear white. Fans will also receive a limited edition, numbered Penn State Football print that features some of the greatest moments from the thrilling 2016 season, then one number will be chosen during the game to select a lucky fan who will win a football autographed by the entire Blue-White football roster. Sunday will be Salute to Service Day, as all Veterans and First Responders can claim up to four free tickets by contacting Steve Christ at 814-272-0208 (additional tickets can be purchased at a discounted rate of $2). The Nittany Lions will wear special "Salute to Service" batting practice tops, and up to 35 selected veterans or first responders will be able to receive one of those shirts right off the back of one of the players. Fans will be able to see first responder vehicles up close in the Porter North Parking Lot in the Touch-A-Truck exhibit.

Fans of all of Penn State athletics will not want to miss the Wednesday, Apr. 26 tilt against Lafayette. It will be Champions Night as all of the achievements and honors earned by Penn State teams throughout the season will be recognized. Individual student-athletes, coaches and trophies will be on hand.

The Minnesota series (May 5-7) includes great deals. Friday will be Scout Night, where all scouts can purchase tickets at a discounted rate of just $2. Saturday will be "Tip Our Cap Day" in honor of all graduating seniors, who can receive free admission by wearing their graduation cap to the game. The Nittany Lion will also be on hand for graduation photos from 2:30-3:30 p.m. The weekend will conclude with Pink Zone Day on Sunday. Breast cancer survivors can claim up to four free tickets by sending an email to ICAmarketing@psu.edu, and can purchase additional tickets at just $2. All survivors will be welcomed onto the field pregame for what we hope will become the largest First Pitch of 2017 anywhere in the country.

The season concludes against Nebraska May 19-21. Friday the 20th will be the night to bring your pup to the park for Bark in the Park Night. The first 100 dogs will receive a Penn State Baseball collar. Contact Steve Christ at 814-272-0208 for more information. Saturday will be Alumni Day, Senior Day, Fan Appreciation Day and Spring Cleaning Day. Alums will be welcomed back and honored with ceremonial first pitches and introductions, while surplus Penn State giveaways will be available at the customer service desk for interested fans. The largest t-shirt toss of the year and senior recognition will take place after the game.

The fun is not just limited to these events, though. Even more promotions will run throughout the year.
