MGOLF Selected to Third Straight NCAA Regional

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Nittany Lion men's golf team is making its 3rd straight and 23rd overall NCAA Regional appearance at the Aldarra Golf Club in Sammamish, Washington. The 54-hole Regional will be hosted by Washington University on May 17-19.



The 14-team field will compete on the 6,885-year par-71 course with the top five teams and the top individual finisher not on an advancing team will continue onto the national championships May 26-31 in Sugar Grove, Illinois.



This will be head coach Greg Nye's 20th regional appearance with Penn State in only his 25th year.



Competing alongside No. 9 seed Penn State will be No. 1 USC, who will enter ranked No. 1 in the country. No. 2 seed Kent State and No. 3 seed Texas A&M follow as the 12th and 13th ranked teams in the country, respectively. The rest of the field consists of No. 4 Florida State, No. 5 Washington, No. 6 Alabama, No. 7 San Diego State, No. 8 UTEP, No. 10 Michigan, No. 11 Michigan State, No. 12 Seattle, No. 13 Marquette and No. 14 Bryant.
