UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Penn State Football Assistant Video Director Blake Newsock was honored by the Collegiate Sports Video Association (CSVA) in Atlanta last week. Newsock won the Highlight SAVVY for his video titled "The Process IV."
There are three SAVVY award categories: motivational, highlight and recruiting, along with one Ultimate SAVVY Award for the best overall video from the three categories. Winners for each category are selected by receiving the most votes from peer sports video members of the CSVA. In order to be considered for these awards, each video submitted must meet specific criterion. Newsock created the video with assistance from interns Ryan Heidig, Ashley Wert, and Brett Michaud. Videographers include Matt Stephens and Matt Wilson. Clint Yoder was the audio engineer.
The Nittany Lions' home schedule features a trio of non-conference games, including Pitt's first visit to Beaver Stadium since 1999.
