UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches/Women (NACGC/W) announced its list of 2017 scholar-athletes with Penn State women's gymnastics receiving eight honorees.
Mason Hosek (Pearland, Texas), Jessica Jones (Canfield, Ohio), Tess McCracken (Plano, Texas), Nicole Medvitz (Paramus, N.J.), Kristen Politz (Morganville, N.J.), Chanen Raygoza (Upland, Calif.), Peyton Schuller (Erie, Pa.), and Briannah Tsang (Vancouver, British Columbia) were honored by the NACGC/W for their success in the classroom.
As a team, the Nittany Lions recorded an overall GPA of 3.2213 during the 2016-17 school year.
To qualify for the NACGC/W Scholar-Athlete team, a gymnast must have a GPA of 3.50 for either the preceding academic year or have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or above at the nominating institution.
