UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Following her second two-goal outing of the season, junior midfielder Marissa Sheva (Sellersville, Pa.) has been named to TopDrawerSoccer's Team of the Week for the week of Aug. 21-27. This is the first TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week honor for Sheva.
The Nittany Lions are coming off a 4-2 victory at Arkansas last Friday. In Penn State's win, Sheva scored twice on three shot attempts. In three games this season, she has scored four times on six shot attempts.
No. 4 Penn State now heads to Morgantown, W.Va., for a showdown against No. 6 West Virginia on Saturday, Sept. 2. The match is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium.
