UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State men's ice hockey team has announced game times for the majority of their 2017-18 contests including at least 11 televised contests with nine appearing on the Big Ten Network.
The Nittany Lions will only be televised once during the first semester of play as Fox Sports North will carry their Big Ten Conference opener at Minnesota on October 13. Puck drop will be at 8 p.m. ET and will also be available on BTN2Go.
Following Christmas break Penn State will be featured on the Big Ten Network for at least one game each weekend they are in action. PSU and Wisconsin will do battle inside Pegula Ice Arena at 7 p.m. on Saturday, January 6.
One week later the Lions welcome Ohio State for a 7 p.m. tilt on BTN before heading to Ann Arbor to take on Michigan at 8 p.m. on Friday, January 19 also on BTN. Penn State will again appear on the Big Ten Network the following weekend as its series opener at Wisconsin on Friday, January 26 will air at 9 p.m. ET and the series finale the following night will be available on BTN2Go and locally on Fox Sports Wisconsin at 8 p.m. ET.
The Nittany Lions welcome Notre Dame to Pegula Ice Arena the following weekend and the Friday, February 2 contest will air on BTN at 6:30 p.m. Following a bye week, Penn State travels to Michigan State where both games of the series will air on BTN at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, February 16 and 5 p.m. on Saturday, February 17.
Penn State's final regular season series at home against Minnesota on February 23-24 will see both games appearing on the Big Ten Network with times to be determined at a later date.
The Nittany Lions will open their 2017-18 home slate against American International on October 27-28 with both games starting at 7 p.m. The following weekend also marks the Big Ten home opener for Penn State against Michigan with game times slated for 7 p.m. and 8 p.m., respectively.
