Ability Athletics to Host Multiple Fall Clinics

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; October 12, 2017 - The Penn State University Ability Athletics Program, led by Coach Teri Jordan, is set to host multiple free events this fall, beginning this weekend and culminating with the Run, Walk and Roll Rally on Saturday, November 4.

There will be a free sled hockey clinic on Saturday, October 14 from 6:15-7:45 p.m. at Pegula Ice Arena. The national sled hockey development chairman of the USOC will lead the clinic along with other local experts.

The following Sunday inside the Multi-Sport Complex on October 22 from 1-3 p.m. there will be a Paralympic clinic. Participants can try wheelchair basketball, powerlifting, hand cycling and track and field. World Junior Powerlifting champion Jake Scrhom, along with Max Rohn, a 3-time USA national team member in the shotput, will be among the instructors.

The final event is the Run, Walk and Roll rally, which will be held November 4 at 9 a.m. with all the proceeds going to Ability Athletics team travel for national events. Registration is $15 and is open through November 2. Click HERE for more information and instructions.
