FNC: Penn State Fencers Finish Day Two of Olympic Trials

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Penn State men's and women's fencing teams competed Friday, Oct. 13 and Saturday, Oct. 14, at the Olympic Trials in Anaheim, Calif.

The women's foil team opened the weekend on Friday with freshman Isabella Zuzulo (Newtown, Pa.) placing 81st. Women's saber members also competed on Friday, with freshmen Zara Moss (Cranberry Township, Pa) and Sara Cunningham (Decatur, Ga.) finishing in 9th and 35th, respectively.

The men's epee team finished their two-day run on Saturday. Sophomore Clinton Rodell (Annadale,Va.) took 49th, juniors Anton Piskovatsov (Houston, Texas) and Joshua Cole (Chappaqua, N.Y.) took 67th and 69th, and senior Alfred Galeno (Queens, N.Y.) placed 34th in the epee consolation bracket.
