WINTHROP, Mass. - Freshman Sophie Slattery (Edina, Minn.) has been named the College Hockey America (CHA) Rookie of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon. This is the first CHA honor for Slattery.
Slattery receives the plaudit after scoring her first two career goals in a 2-2 tie at Syracuse on Saturday, Nov. 11. She finished the series against the Orange with two goals on five shot attempts.
The Nittany Lions return to action on Nov. 21 at No. 8 Cornell. Puck drop is scheduled for 3 p.m. at the Lynah Rink in Ithaca, N.Y.
