Fans Invited to BTN Tailgate and Nissan Heisman House on Saturday

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Penn State's Senior Day contest presented by the Penn State Alumni Association against Nebraska on Saturday, Nov. 18 will provide fans with an opportunity to be a part of two touring college football programs.

For the first time, BTN Tailgate will originate from Happy Valley, airing live Saturday from 10 a.m.-noon on Big Ten Network. The program will be located just outside Gate A at the Bryce Jordan Center, adjacent to Penn State's Fan Fest on Curtin Road. BTN Tailgate is hosted by Dave Revsine, with analysts Gerry DiNardo, Stanley Jackson and former Nittany Lion NFL first round selection Anthony "Spice" Adams. The following regulations will be in place, for fans who are interested in standing in the "pit" near the BTN Tailgate stage (show is free of charge):

  • Fans can access the pit Saturday at 9 a.m. (no overnight camping)
  • Fans entering the pit will be screened by security personnel
  • No bags, backpacks or purses are permitted
  • No offensive, vulgar, inappropriate or solicitation signage will be allowed (i.e., no political, religious, or .com, .org, .net signage)
  • No signs or flags on a stick
  • No food or drinks
  • Throwing of objects is prohibited

Fans will have an opportunity to make their own signs at BTN Tailgate.

Nissan Heisman House Opens at 10 a.m.; Features LaVar Arrington and Derrick Williams and ESPN's Ryen Russillo
The Nissan Heisman House Tour returns to Penn State and also will be located within Fan Fest, which opens Saturday at 10 a.m. The Nissan Heisman House will be open Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 pm. The Heisman House provides fans with an opportunity to celebrate college football and some of its greatest players, including Penn State's John Cappelletti, who won the 1973 Heisman Trophy.

Former Nittany Lion standout Derrick Williams will be at the Nissan Heisman House Saturday from 12:30-2 p.m., participating in chalk talk with ESPN anchor Ryen Russillo and signing autographs. Williams is the sideline reporter for football game broadcasts on the Penn State Sports Radio Network.

Former Penn State All-American LaVar Arrington will be at the Nissan Heisman House from 2-3:30 p.m., also participating in chalk talk with Russillo and signing autographs.

Fans stopping at the Nissan Heisman House also will have an opportunity to take photos with the Heisman Trophy, vote for the winner of the 2017 Heisman Trophy and win prizes by participating in interactive games, among other activities.

Admission is free to BTN Tailgate and the Nissan Heisman House. Beaver Stadium parking lots will open Saturday at 8 a.m.

BTN Tailgate is the second live college football pre-game television program to visit Penn State this season, as ESPN's College Gameday originated from Old Main lawn the morning of the Nittany Lions' 42-13 victory over Michigan.

Single-game tickets for the 2017 Penn State football season presented by PSECU are still available for the final home game on Nov. 18 vs. Nebraska. For information on joining the Nittany Lion Club and purchasing new 2018 season tickets, as well as club seating in Beaver Stadium, fans can visit www.PSUnrivaled.com, call 1-800-NITTANY weekdays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. or visit the Bryce Jordan Center ticket office weekdays from 9 a.m-4:30 p.m.

Season ticket deposits are available and nearly 1,300 new season tickets have already been sold for the 2018 campaign.

The No. 10 Nittany Lions host Nebraska Saturday at 4 p.m. for Senior Day presented by the Penn State Alumni Association and the Penn State Stripe Out game. A total of 23 Nittany Lion seniors will be recognized in a pre-game ceremony. The contest will air on FS1, GoPSUsports.com and the Penn State Sports Network (2:30 p.m. airtime).
