UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State women's gymnastics team is ranked No. 25 in the 2018 National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches/Women (NACGC/W) Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Nittany Lions closed out the 2017 season ranked No. 31.
The Nittany Lions are one of seven Big Ten teams ranked in the NACGC/W Preseason Coaches' Poll. No. 7 Michigan leads the Big Ten contingent followed by No. 9 Nebraska, No. 20 Iowa, No. 22 Ohio State, No. 23 Illinois, No. 25 Penn State, and No. 27 Minnesota.
Penn State returns 10 letterwinners from the 2017 season and welcomes four freshmen to the team in 2018.
The Nittany Lions open the 2018 season against the No. 35 Eastern Michigan Eagles on Jan. 6 at Rec Hall.
