UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State women's gymnastics team has announced its promotional schedule for the 2018 season. The Nittany Lions are scheduled to host five meets during the regular season inside Rec Hall in 2018. All Penn State women's gymnastics home meets are slated for Saturdays at 4 p.m.
The Nittany Lions open the 2018 season on Jan. 6 against the Eastern Michigan Eagles. Fans attending the 2018 opener can receive a copy of the schedule poster and attend a free post-meet autograph session with the team. The meet against Eagles will also be a Cub Club meet.
A week later, Penn State begins Big Ten action against the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Jan. 13. The Nebraska meet will be "Alumni Weekend" for the Penn State women's gymnastics program. For fans, the meet is the annual Flip for the Cure meet, which benefits the Pink Zone. All fans are encouraged to wear pink.
Following their first road meet at Maryland on Jan. 19, the Nittany Lions return to Rec Hall for a double dual with the Penn State men's gymnastics program on Jan. 27. In the first double dual of the year, both Penn State gymnastics programs will compete against Illinois.
Against Illinois, Penn State will be hosting Princess & Pirates Day, along with a free kids zone pre-meet and a free post-meet autograph session.
After a pair of Big Ten meets on the road, the Nittany Lions return home to Rec Hall to host Cornell and Penn in a tri-meet format on Feb. 17. The tri-meet will be a Team ICA event for Penn State Athletics and fans that are shorter than head coach Sarah Brown will receive free admission (the Coach Brown ticket promotion is only available on the day of the meet).
Penn State closes out its 2018 regular season home slate against George Washington on Feb. 24. The meet against George Washington is a double dual, as the men will compete against Minnesota. Fans attending the meet on Feb. 24 can take part in the All In meet, help honor the Penn State women's gymnastics senior class, and join the team for a post-meet autograph session.
Fans can purchase season tickets to the three women's single duals for $18 by calling Seth Robbins at 814-867-2541 Monday thru Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Those interested in attending the two double duals that feature both the men's and women's gymnastics teams can purchase tickets for $12.
Finally, fans can purchase single meet tickets and single double dual tickets for both men's and women's gymnastics for $8 for adults and $5 for youth by calling 1-800-NITTANY Monday thru Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
