Ogle Named Second Team CoSIDA Academic All-American

AUSTIN, Texas - Redshirt junior Emily Ogle (Strongsville, Ohio) has been named a second team CoSIDA Academic All-American®, as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America. With the honor, Ogle is Penn State's 199th all-time CoSIDA Academic All-American®, which is fourth-highest among all Division I institutions.

In the classroom, Ogle has a 3.99 grade-point average (GPA) as a kinesiology major.

Ogle, a midfielder, started all 24 matches for the Nittany Lions during the 2017 season. On the year, she tallied 13 points on four goals and five assists, was second on the team in minutes played (2,132) and went 3-for-3 on penalty kick attempts.

Along with her CoSIDA Academic All-America second team plaudit, Ogle's honors in 2017 include: All-Big Ten first team, United Soccer Coaches All-Midwest Region first team, Big Ten All-Tournament team and Academic All-Big Ten.

In Penn State women's soccer history, nine Nittany Lions have received CoSIDA Academic All-America awards on 14 occasions.
