UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Penn State women continued the Duke dual meet series today in Durham, N.C. The women competed against North Carolina, Temple, Brandeis and Duke in the final day of the series.
The women's team won all of their duals, going 3-0. The Nittany Lions beat University of North Carolina, 21-6; Duke, 15-12, and Brandeis, 22-5.
Additionally, the Nittany Lions beat Temple in a scrimmage match, 20-7. This match was used only to count toward total victories on the day, and will not count toward the overall season record. Duke awards a trophy to the squads with the most wins at the end of the day, and today the Penn State women won all three.
Leading the women's team was freshman Zara Moss (Cranberry Township, Pa.) and junior Anastasia Kalonji (Rennes, France). Zara was undefeated in saber while Anastasia had only one loss on the day for epee.
