LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Sophomore Stephen Nedoroscik (Worcester, Mass.) had a strong showing at the Winter Cup after qualifying for the event finals on the pommel horse Saturday, Feb. 17.
Nedoroscik was just one place out of the top-three, notching a fourth-place finish on the pommel horse. The sophomore pommel horse specialist scored a 13.900 in his first round before earning a 14.800 in the second.
Ohio State's Alec Yoder took home the pommel horse title, while two-time Olympian Sam Mikulak earned a second-place finish and Brandon Ngai of Illinois placed third overall.
Penn State will return to team action Saturday, Feb. 24 when it welcomes Minnesota to Rec Hall for a 4 p.m. dual. The meet will also feature the Penn State women's gymnastics team in double dual action against George Washington.
