UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -The Penn State men's basketball team plays host to Iowa at 6 p.m. on Saturday, February 3 at the Bryce Jordan Center in the second of two regular-season meetings. At halftime, more than 50 Nittany Lion basketball alumni will be honored as part of alumni weekend festivities. Saturday also marks the fifth annual TEAM REAM Day.

OPENING TIP
Redshirt sophomore Mike Watkins needs just six rebounds to reach the 500 career rebound mark. Watkins would be only the second player in the record book to achieve that milestone with sophomore eligibility.
Jesse Arnelle, Penn State's all-time leading rebounder (1,238), had 525 career following his sophomore season. Watkins broke Arnelle's 65-year old freshman record (254, 1952) for rebounds in with 267 in 2016-17.

• Saturday's game is the fifth annual TEAM REAM Day which honors Penn State alumnus and Nittany Lion football player Brandon Ream who passed away following a battle against cancer in 2013. The TEAM REAM Foundation serves to assist the everyday lives of financially disadvantaged individuals in State College and surrounding areas who have been affected by cancer and serious medical conditions.
• More than 50 Nittany Lion basketball alumni who have traveled to State College for this weekend's activities will be honored at halftime of Saturday's game vs. Iowa.
• Sophomore guard Tony Carr was named the Penn State Athletics male Student-Athlete of the Week for January 22-28. Carr helped lead the Nittany Lions to two Big Ten wins, including the victory at No. 13 Ohio State.
• The Bryce Jordan Center welcomed 13,677 for the THON Hoops game vs. Rutgers last Saturday, the largest crowd since a March 1, 2011 senior night sellout vs. top-ranked Ohio State (15,403).
SERIES VS. IOWA
Penn State and Iowa opened the 2017-18 Big Ten season on December 2, 2017 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena and the Nittany Lions came away with their first win at Iowa City since March 1, 2001.
The Nittany Lions and Hawkeyes have 14 "second" meetings in conference regular season action and are tied 7-7 in those games. Penn State holds a 6-1 advantage in second games played at University Park.
