UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. ââ'¬" Select members of the Penn State men's and women's swimming & diving teams will compete in one final tune-up before the Big Ten Championships, as they head west to Columbus for the Ohio State Winter Invitational Saturday and Sunday in McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion.
The Penn State women are sending nine: Carly Fried, Annalee Johnson, Erika Marlin, Sydney Stewart, Kyra Manson, Elizabeth Gaspari, Amber Glenn, Cara Treble, Heather MacDougall, and the men are sending three: John Nunez, Dale Johnson and Brad Johnson. Teams attending include Cincinnati, Cleveland State, Eastern Michigan, IUPUI, Kentucky, Miami (OH), Notre Dame, Ohio State, University of the Pacific, Pittsburgh and Purdue.
The meet begins Saturday at 11 a.m. with preliminary heats and continues with 5 p.m. finals. Action resumes Sunday with preliminaries at 11 a.m. and finals at 4 p.m.
The Big Ten Championships are next. Ohio State is hosting the women's championships Feb. 14-17, while Minnesota is hosting the men's championships Feb. 21-24.
