Three Garner All-Big Ten Honors

ROSEMONT, Ill. - Three members of the Penn State women's gymnastics team garnered All-Big Ten honors, as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon. Freshman Lauren Bridgens (Darnestown, Md.) and senior Briannah Tsang (Vancouver, British Columbia) were named First Team All-Big Ten, while junior Sabrina Garcia (Etters, Pa.) was named Second Team All-Big Ten.

In her first year donning the Blue & White, Bridgens has received five Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors, tallied the first perfect 10 on the uneven bars in program history, and won 14 titles.

Tsang picks up her third-straight plaudit as a First Team All-Big Ten honoree. During the 2018 regular season, Tsang won 26 titles, received four Big Ten Gymnast of the Week honors, and tied the No. 5 floor exercise score in school history (9.950).

On the year for Garcia, she has captured seven titles, which includes four titles on the uneven bars.

Up next, the No. 28 Nittany Lions will compete in the afternoon session of the 2018 Big Ten Women's Gymnastics Championships on Saturday, March 24. The 2018 Big Ten Women's Gymnastics Championships are held at the State Farm Center in Champaign, Illinois. Penn State will compete at 3 p.m. (EDT) against No. 14 Nebraska, Michigan State, and Rutgers live on the Big Ten Network.
