University Park, Pa. - Penn State men's lacrosse sophomore Gerard Arceri claimed his third-straight Big Ten Specialist of the Week honor after his performance in the Nittany Lions' 10-7 win over No. 13 Penn on Saturday afternoon.
The faceoff specialist Gerard Arceri continued his dominance at the 'X,' as he went 18-20, for a season-high .900-winning percentage. He scooped up a game-best 13 ground balls and scored a goal as well.
Over the last three games, Arceri has scored four goals and added an assist, averaged 13 ground balls a game, and has gone 55-71 at the 'X' for a 77.5-winning percentage.
This is Arceri's the fifth Specialist of the Week honor of his career (2/14/17, 3/8/17, 3/14/17, 2/20/18, 2/27/18).
This is the fifth-straight week that the Big Ten has honored Penn State after Arceri's back-to-back-to-back honors.
Ryan Keenan was honored as Player of the Week and Freshman Jack Kelly earned Freshman of the Week on February 6, and Mac O'Keefe earned Player of the Week honors on February 13.
The Nittany Lions take on Furman in a neutral site battle on Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. ET at Georgetown Prep, and continue their road trip with a 12 p.m. neutral site battle with Cornell on Saturday at the US Lacrosse Complex in Sparks, Md.
