LEWISBURG, Pa. - Penn State track & field wrapped up action at the Bucknell Classic with senior Hannah Mulhern (Altoona, Pa.) adding to her school record height in the women's pole vault.

"I think it has been a good progression in the season because we started out a little rocky," Mulhern said. "Each and every meet we are getting better. Today honestly was a little better than I thought and I am really happy to get back up there where I was during the indoor season and hopefully build off of this performance."

For the Nittany Lions in the women's pole vault, Mulhern went on to clear 13-6.25 to finish second, which bests her previous school record of 13-5.25 set last year at the NCAA East Regional.

Along with Mulhern, the duo of Greer Gumbrecht (Easton, Pa.) and Katie Jones (Williamsport, Pa.) improved their spots in the Penn State women's pole vault all-time standings.

For Jones, she went on to clear 13-2.25 to place third, which now ranks third all-time at Penn State, while Gumbrecht cleared 12-7.50 to place 11th - a height that ranks tied for ninth all-time at Penn State.

Though she didn't climb the PSU all-time list on Sunday, because she has the No. 2 spot already, Lexi Masterson (Jeannette, Pa.) finished 10th with a season-best height of 12-7.50.

In the men's throws, the freshmen duo of Luke Grodeska (Neptune, N.J.) and Ben Peterson (Solon, Ohio) both finished third in their respective events. Grodeska took third in the men's hammer throw (188-5), while Peterson placed third in the men's shot put (56-3.75).

On the track, the Nittany Lions saw two Penn Staters tally a pair of top-10 finishes. For the Nittany Lion women, Lauren Costa (North Fayette Township, Pa.) took third in the 200-meter dash (25.47) and seventh in the 400-meter dash (58.46). On the men's side, Tristan Daman (State College, Pa.) finished fourth in the 200-meter dash (22.01) and sixth in the 400-meter dash (49.42).

Penn State track & field will split squads next weekend for the Bucknell Team Challenge and the Virginia Challenge. The Bucknell Team Challenge takes place on April 21 at the Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, and the Virginia Challenge is a two-day meet on April 20-21 held at Lannigan Field in Charlottesville, Virginia.
