UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State senior Ryan Keenan has been invited to the 77th annual United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA)/Nike North-South Division I-II All-Star Game at Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium on the campus of Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island on Friday, May 25.
Keenan, a 2018 captain, closed out his senior campaign third on the Nittany Lion roster with 21 goals as a midfielder, adding 10 assists, and 22 ground balls. He was also drafted by the 54thoverall pick by the reigning Major League Lacrosse champions Ohio Machine in the 2018 draft.
Keenan is one of four Big Ten student-athletes set to compete in the game, joining Rutgers' Alex Bronzo, Christian Mazzone, and Austin Divitcos.
The annual event, which began in 1940, features the top players who have exhausted their eligibility in the most recent season. Divisions I-II compete together, with an additional game featuring Division III men's lacrosse programs.
Penn State has had at least one student-athlete selected to the roster in 26 of the last 33 years. Bill Dunn of NYIT will coach the Division I/II North team and Drew McMinn of Robert Morris will coach the Division I/II South team.
The game time for the Division III contest is 5:30 p.m. (est) and 7:30 p.m. (est) for the Division I-II game. Admission is Free.
