SPARKS, Md. - Former women's lacrosse standout Tami Worley '89 will join eight other individuals as part of the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame Class of 2018 as announced by US Lacrosse earlier Wednesday afternoon. The official ceremony will be held on Saturday, September 29, at the Grand Lodge in Hunt Valley, Md.

Worley becomes the tenth different Nittany Lion to be enshrined into the Hall of Fame, seven players and three coaches, and the first since Joanne Connelly was honored as part of the class of 2016.

Worley played 76 games during her four-year career in Happy Valley and currently ranks third in program history in both points and goals registering 289 and 230, respectively. Worley paced the team in scoring during both her junior and senior season's including the second-best season in program history in 1989 leading the nation with 78 goals while registering 94 total points.

Worley, a four-time All-American in her time at Penn State earning first-team laurels in 1988 and 1989, led the Nittany Lions to four-straight NCAA National Championship games including the last two titles for the program in 1987 and 1989.

Worley was also a member of the U.S. Women's National Team Program from 1987-1992 and in 2006 was named to the NCAA's 25th Anniversary Team. Worley was also an All-American field hockey player in her time at Penn State.
