UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The 2019 date has been set for the annual Blue-White Game, which is one of the highlights of the Penn State sports calendar.
The Blue-White football game will be played Saturday, April 13, 2019 in Beaver Stadium. The intra-squad scrimmage is tentatively scheduled to kick in the early to mid-afternoon. More details about Blue-White Game and related events will be announced after the 2018 regular season.
The Nittany Lions concluded spring practice on April 21, with an estimated 71,000 fans attending the Blue-White Game, the nation's fourth-largest spring football crowd this year. The Blue-White Game is the university's unofficial annual spring reunion. The game has drawn more than 50,000 fans in 10 of the past 12 years, including six crowds above 70,000.
Penn State returns 13 starters (8 offensive, 3 defensive, 2 specialists) and 26 additional lettermen. The Nittany Lions open the season at Beaver Stadium against Appalachian State September 1.
More than 6,300 new season tickets have been sold for the 2018 season presented by PSECU. The public single game sale takes place beginning June 26.
