CHICAGO - A trio of Nittany Lions have been called into a week-long training camp with the United States Under-19 Women's National Team. Amanda Dennis (San Diego, Calif.), Shea Moyer (Wyomissing, Pa.), and Frankie Tagliaferri (Colts Neck, N.J.) are in camp with the U.S. U-19 WNT at the Elite Athletic Training Center in Chula Vista, California, May 5-12.
The training camp is the third appearance for Dennis with the U.S. U-19 WNT. Last year, Dennis took part in a training camp with the U.S. U-19 WNT in January. This past fall, Dennis played in six games for the Nittany Lions. In her sophomore season, she tallied 10 saves, posted a goals-against average of 0.41, and recorded a save percentage of .909.
For Moyer, she has spent time with the U.S. WNT at different age levels, but this training camp is her first with the U-19s. This camp marks Moyer's 16th training camp with the U.S. WNT program. During her first year donning the Blue & White in 2017, Moyer played in 16 games in the Nittany Lion midfield.
Tagliaferri is in her second U.S. U-19 WNT training camp this year (February). A 2017 Big Ten All-Freshman Team honoree, Tagliaferri played in all 24 matches for Penn State during the 2017 season. On the year, she netted nine points on four goals and one assist.
