Greg Myford was named Associate Athletic Director for Marketing and Communications in November 2004.

His responsibilities include the oversight of ICA's marketing and promotions, communications, ticket services, media and sponsorship rights agreements and www.GoPSUsports.com, the official website of Penn State Athletics.

Myford returned to his alma mater after spending 12 years with Palace Sports & Entertainment, most recently in Tampa, Fla., with the 2004 NHL Stanley Cup Champion Tampa Bay Lightning.

From Grove City, Pa., Myford graduated with honors from Penn State in 1986, earning a B.A. in broadcast journalism. His sports marketing career began in 1987 with Home Team Sports (now Comcast SportsNet), a regional sports network based in Bethesda, Md., where he served several marketing roles through April 1989, when he was promoted to Senior Account Executive, a network advertising sales position he held until October 1992.

Upon leaving HTS, Myford began a 12-year association with Palace Sports & Entertainment. From 1992-2003, he was based in Auburn Hills, Mich., serving in several different capacities for the National Basketball Association's Detroit Pistons, the WNBA's Detroit Shock, the Arena Football League's Detroit Fury, The Palace of Auburn Hills and DTE Energy Music Theatre.

Beginning with PS&E as a Senior Account Executive in sponsorship sales, Myford quickly earned the title of Director of Sports Sponsorship Sales for two years and then was named Vice President of Sponsorship Development in 1996. From 1999-2003, Myford served multiple facets of PS&E's business as Senior Vice President, focusing on the company's sponsorship, business development and minor-league franchise units.

In 2003, Myford was named Senior Vice President of Corporate Development for PS&E and the National Hockey League's Tampa Bay Lightning, the AFL's Tampa Bay Storm and the St. Pete Times Forum, home of the Lightning and Storm. His responsibilities included management of all corporate marketing and client service businesses, strategic planning for team and entertainment ticket sales, marketing and advertising, website, public relations and community relations during the team's historic 2004 Stanley Cup Championship year.

Myford resides in Port Matilda, Pa., with his wife, Karen, and daughters Madeline and Miranda.
