FROM KUNTZ'S HEAD COACH TIM BIGELOW
"Zack is an amazing person both on and off the field. He is rare combination of speed and size with the ability to make the big plays at any time. He makes everyone around him better on the football field. In order to stop Zack, many teams would triple cover him. He would not be phased and always came up with different ideas and game plans to get the ball. With size, strength and speed, we could use him at tight end and split end and create many mismatches at 6-foot-8. Zack was also a great senior captain. He encouraged others to always to do their best and led by example. We challenged him every day to win every sprint and he stepped up to that challenge. When a teammate needed guidance and help, Zack was the first one to help. Off the football field, Zack is a class act. He signed every autograph with humility and loved speaking to the youth of our community. He helped us with our team camp and was a great team leader. Whenever someone approaches Zack, he always takes time to talk with them and even have a catch. Penn State is very lucky to have such an amazing person in Zack Kuntz!"
