UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State women's hockey head coach Jeff Kampersal has announced the addition of transfer goaltender Jenna Brenneman to the 2018-19 women's hockey roster.
Brenneman, a junior, joins the Nittany Lions after spending the last two seasons with the two-time defending national champion Clarkson Golden Knights. Brenneman is eligible to compete for the Nittany Lions immediately.
"We are eager to welcome Jenna to our family," Kampersal said. "She comes to Hockey Valley with a winning pedigree. She has played for a national champion and has learned from the great coaches and teammates she had in Potsdam. We are looking for Jenna bring that winning mentality and compete for the Nittany Lion net."
Brenneman, a native of Eagan, Minn., played in three career games with Clarkson, posting a 1-0-0 record with a 0.50 goals-against average while stopping 40 of 41 shots against. She earned her first career shutout against Brown on Feb. 2, 2018 in her first career start.
Brenneman was the Minnesota Senior Goalie of the Year in 2015-16 playing for Breck School. She was a two-time member of the All-State All-Star team and a three-time Independent Metro Athletic Conference All-Star. Brenneman has also attended two USA Player Development Camps.
She joins a goaltending corps that includes sophomore Chantal Burke and redshirt freshman Cam Leonard. The 2018-19 Nittany Lions return 17 players along with seven newcomers.
