UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Redshirt junior defender Kaleigh Riehl (Fairfax Station, Va.) has been named to the TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week for the week of Aug. 13-19. This is the second career TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week honor for Riehl.
Riehl and the Nittany Lions recorded a pair of shutout victories to open the 2018 season this past weekend. On Friday, Aug. 17, she played the full 90 minutes in then-No. 4 Penn State's 1-0 victory over then-No. 9 West Virginia. In the weekend finale on Sunday, Aug. 19, Riehl played 70 minutes in a 6-0 win over Duquesne.
The No. 3 Nittany Lions close out their season-opening homestand on Saturday, Aug. 25, against the No. 2 UCLA Bruins. The match is slated for a 4 p.m. start at Jeffrey Field live on ESPNU.
