WLAX to Host Free Youth Clinics

Opens in a new window Medical Release Form

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Head coach Missy Doherty and the Penn State women's lacrosse team will host free youth clinics on Mondays from September 10 until October 15.

The clinics are open to girls in grades 3-8 and will be led by Doherty, her staff and members of the Nittany Lion women's lacrosse team. The clinics take place Monday evenings from 6-7 p.m. beginning Monday, September 10 and running through Monday, October 15 at Panzer Stadium.

Please note that the clinics will be geared towards the beginner lacrosse player. The staff will be introducing and focusing on basic fundamental skills and small-sided drills/games throughout our training series.

Participants are strongly encouraged to bring full lacrosse equipment, including a mouth guard.

Campers will also need a signed medical release form to be submitted on the day of the clinic or emailed to assistant coach Tara Hohenshelt (tmr130@psu.edu). Participants will not be permitted to participate without a medical release form.

Doherty, the 2015 Big Ten Coach of the Year, is entering her ninth season at the helm of Penn State and has led them to seven-straight NCAA Tournament appearances, including the National Semifinals the two of the last three seasons.
