Tickets Available for Reverse Car Drawing

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – A 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited is the prize for a lucky individual as part of the 13th annual Reverse Car Drawing on Thursday, Sept. 20. The festive event, which begins at 6 p.m., concludes when a luxury SUV is presented to the new owner – the individual with the final ticket remaining in the drawing. All proceeds from the Reverse Car Drawing benefit local cancer patients and their families through the Bestwick Foundation and Coaches vs. Cancer®-Penn State.

Medlar Field at Lubrano Park at Penn State provides the backdrop for delicious hors d'oeuvres, entertainment and an open bar. Each ticket is $350 and admits two individuals. Only 400 tickets will be sold for the event and a portion of cost of the ticket is tax deductible. The value of the vehicle is $31,500 or winners may opt for the cash prize of $20,000.
 
The individual or individuals with the winning ticket do not need to be present to receive the prize. Winners must be at least 18 years of age and all taxes must be paid in advance before the prize can be awarded.
 
Carrying on the tradition of service, Penn State head coach Patrick Chambers and the Nittany Lion basketball staff have helped lead the charge in Coaches vs. Cancer®-Penn State's battle against this disease. The organization's goal is to surpass the $3 million mark for funds raised in 2018.
 
Now in its 23rd year, Coaches vs. Cancer®-Penn State consistently ranks among the top 10 CVC organizations in the nation. It was established in 1995 under then-head coach and State College, Pa., native Bruce Parkhill and raises funds to support the American Cancer Society as well as the Bob Perks Cancer Assistance Fund, a local nonprofit that provides direct support to those in our community who are fighting cancer and need assistance with everyday household bills.
 
CVC-Penn State is a year -round program which hosts several local events and is also fortunate to be the beneficiary of third party events including the Reverse Car Drawing.
 
Funds raised through the American Cancer Society's Coaches Vs. Cancer® support the ACS mission to help people Stay Well, Get Well, Fund Cures, and Fight Back, both on a local and national level.
