SERIES VERSUS PROVIDENCE
This series will be the first-ever matchup between the Nittany Lions and the Friars.

SCOUTING THE FRIARS
Providence enters the weekend unbeaten at 3-0-0, including a 5-0 Hockey East conference victory over Holy Cross last Friday. The Friars also defeated Bemidji State in back-to-back games Oct. 5-6. For the season, Providence has outscored opponents 13-4. This weekend marks the first road games of the season for the Friars.

Providence is led in scoring by sophomore forward Maureen Murphy who has six points on three goals and three assists. She has multiple points in every game played the season and has 21 shots through just three games. Freshman forward Sara Hjalmarsson has started her rookie campaign well with a team-leading four goals, including the Friar's lone power-play goal this season.

Senior goaltender Madison Myers leads the Friars with two starts in goal and has allowed just one goal so far this season. She recorded a shutout last weekend against Holy Cross with 13 saves.

STONEWALL BRENNEMAN
Junior goaltender Jenna Brenneman has started all six games for the Nittany Lions in goal and has yet to allow more than two goals against in any game. She has played over 362 minutes and eight seconds in net, which ranks second in the country behind USA Olympic gold medalist and Minnesota Duluth goaltender Maddie Rooney (362:57). Her 1.66 goals-against average ranks 15th nationally and ranks second in the CHA (Mercyhurst's Sarah McDonnell, 1.00 GAA, 2 GP).

HITTING THE CENTURY MARK
Senior forward Meike Meilleur played in her 100th career game last Friday at Union, becoming the 19th player in Penn State history to play in 100 collegiate games. For her career, Meilleur has 14 goals and 13 assists.

FRESHMEN ON THE BOARD

Forward Loli Fidler and defenseman Izzy Heminger also recorded their first career assists in Friday's 3-1 win. Additional freshman to record their first points early on this season include defensemen Rene Gangarosa (1G, 9/29) and Jessica Adolfsson (1A, 10/5).

NO PENALTIES NO PROBLEM
The Nittany Lions did not commit a penalty in last Saturday's 3-2 win over Union. That marked the first time since 2/7/15 against Lindenwood where Penn State did not have a player in the penalty box for a game.
