October 28, 2018 update: Tipoff time has been announced as noon.
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Tickets for the Saturday, Nov. 3 West Virginia-Penn State men's basketball charity exhibition game at WVU Coliseum will go on sale Thursday, Oct. 18 at 9 a.m. through the Mountaineer Ticket Office.
The game time will be determined once the WVU-Texas football game time is set. The three game time options are noon, 2 p.m. or 4 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast by AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh.
Proceeds from this exhibition game will benefit the American Red Cross' hurricane relief efforts.
The United States was affected by two recent and devastating category 4 hurricanes, Florence and Michael, with damage across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic.
Prior to landfall, Hurricane Florence was measured at 350 miles wide, 67 miles wider than the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and would drop more than 30 inches of rain in some parts of the state of North Carolina. Hurricane Michael was ranked as the fourth-most powerful storm to hit the U.S. and worst since Hurricane Camille in 1969.
Tickets for the charity exhibition game will be priced at $10 for the general public. Representatives from the American Red Cross will be collecting donations as fans enter the WVU Coliseum.
Recently, the NCAA approved that an institution may use one of its possible two exhibition games against a Division I institution for the purposes of raising funds for a catastrophic event. Both programs cancelled games against other opponents in order to play this charity exhibition game.
To purchase tickets for this charity exhibition game, fans can visit WVUGAME.com, call 1-800-WVU GAME or visit the Mountaineer Ticket Office in the Coliseum.
