Baseball Hosts Lock Haven Friday

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State will play its second fall exhibition of the season Friday evening, hosting Lock Haven on Medlar Field at Lubrano Park with first pitch set for 6:30 p.m.

The two teams met regularly in the 1980's and last met in a regular season contest in 1991.

Penn State played its first fall scrimmage Sunday, Sept. 23 against Michigan State at Sports Force Parks at Cedar Point Sports Center in Sandusky, Ohio, winning 6-1. Senior outfielder Jordan Bowersox homered in the contest.
Penn State opened team practice Sunday, Sept. 16.

The Nittany Lions currently have 38 student-athletes vying for 35 roster spots, as 23 returners and 15 newcomers are competing to make the team.
